Oh dears! How wonderful, for the first time in history, to be able to watch a world congress from within, while physically being thousands of miles away, on the other side of the globe. Thanks guys! BUT! PLEASE, PLEASE, make it a bit more professional. The video-cam is too shaky, too “nervous”, difficult to watch. try to use a small tripod to hold it onto your body. remember: There are hundreds of Subud members out there, for whom this is IT! No other way to “be there” and get a little bit of this unique congress.
Thanks from the other side of the globe,
    Varda

A real life report of whats going on here!
Even, if you are in Christchurch, you can’t be at all places at the same time. I like to see what else is going on. Thank you great, young people for setting this up and make it work.
Show us more of these fresh and fun reports!

One more wish, for the sake of the onlookers: Could you please let us know when, what time every day a new video comes up? Is it only once a day? or several times? etc.
    Thanks.

thanks for this – it is great to feel connected to congress when back in cold old UK. Keep up the good work!

  • Luthfi Dixon said:

The vids are good and informative, you pack a lot in. Nothing wrong with the jokey style, after all the future is Yoof. Nothing wrong with the camera style either – I didn’t find it at all jerky, despite being hand held. The film quality is exceptionally clear.

I’m desperately trying to catch a glimpse of my daughter Daliani, cos I haven’t heard a squeak from her since she left U.K. on New Year’s Day. So if you find her stick her in front of the cam for a few seconds please!

Keep the reports coming, they are really bringing Congress alive for those of us who can’t be there in person.

  • Indumati Conway said:

Blessings to all you young people who have made it possible for us oldies to see what is going on at the Congress. It takes me way back to Coombe Springs when with just one little mike we had to strain our ears to hear what Bapak had to say ! Is it possible for you to have two or three reporters at different locations and have more videos per day ? Love to you all Indumati

  • Lucian Langer said:

Great job Guillaume, love your style. Congrats to the entire team…
we have never had it so good.

Why not include country/city of sender of messages which I’m sure would be of interest to all.

    Vancouver, Canada

Thanks for the wonderful work you all do to keep us informed. It’s great! If possible interview the members who have been chosen to carry on the work, example MSF Trustees just tested in or a new chairperson of the wings, or a new international helper, perhaps where the next world congress might be? Maybe even let us know who the countries are who have submitted proposals to host the next World Congress. Keep up the good work, and Thanks so much!

  • Angelina - Congress TV team said:

    hey Lutfiya,

we will of course cover these matters when they occur…

    Hi All,
Thanks for your wonderful effort. I also agree with Lukman, although this may be uninteresting to young people, would you photograph more of the older crowd, please? Seems now there are two distinct age groups practicing the latihan. Thanks..

    Blessings,
    Danella

Wonderful to be able to watch some of that Subud energy at the congress! Thank you so much for all your efforts to bring the videos back to our livingrooms, for the members who were unable to attend the congress. Thank you, thank you!! Love getting a look at old friends.
    Rohanna

  • Marlena said:

It’s a gift you’re giving us and thank you so very much. Do you have any lighting with the camera’s to see faces indoors a bit better, many are quite dark. Is there any chance you will be able to film even short parts of the official opening of the congress and when Ibu Rahayu gives at talk?

  • lucas madrid said:

Hi guys, really funny and good infotainment. It is wonderfull to see how much fun you have. The sweet young moderator is defentily a worthy successor of Richard Quest.

    CONGRESS TV ROCKS :-) ))

  • Sahlan Diver said:

Great informal style. Nicely edited. Cool backing music. Very atmospheric. NZ sunshine very welcome in the Northern hemisphere at the moment. Presenter makes a good job of keeping up the flow — that can’t be easy!

We are linking to your video clips from
    The Subud Vision Web Site
and telling our 150 regular subscribers all about them.

  • Melinda said:

Don’t be a wuss about #3-put it back up! If we can’t have fun and laugh at ourselves, we are doomed!

  • Aliman Sears said:

I understand “offensive” is a relative and subjective term, but it’s REALLY stretching it to label this vid “offensive.” Oh well…

  • Hesther said:

Oh, no, I MISSED the offensive bit, please play it again, as I do like to be treated as an adult!

And .. can we have some interviews with the Susila Dharma teams, please? All ages welcome.

  • Delia said:

What was offensive in this video? If it was I don’t remember it – however if an individual who is filmed does not like what is portrayed about them they should have the right to ask for changes. – it is a breath of fresh air… Otherwise I think you should go on with your jokey style…

It would be rally nice to have a news bulletin/blog about proceedings – new chair new IH’s – in writing might be easier to do than film for some of the issues.

  • Irena said:

Please put Episode 3 back on!

  • Michele said:

As I’ve just discovered Subud TV, I’d love to see everything you have done. Please put episode 3 back!

  • Lusiyah said:

What was wrong with that video? I watched it and I can’t remeber any offensive thing. Please go on with the videos which are all really nice and interesting and give us a little bit of the atmosphere and colors of the congress.
    Ciao

  • Brigitte Roth Tran said:

Booo! I want to see this video. Stop the censorship! (albeit I have no idea what was offensive about it…)

  • Simone said:

What was offensive about Episode 3???? I didn’t find anything offensive!

  • Howard said:

Guys, I too watched this Vid and am extremely bemused that it was taken off. I really don’t know what was so offensive. Keep up the great work and don’t let this dampen your spirits. Congress TV ROCKS!

  • Delia Kirkbride said:

Hi, what a buzz to see so many people gathered together, and such a privelage to be allowed access via the internet. I do find it sad that #3 report was taken off air. Please put it back. It feels that there is a gap in the story, a chapter missing, very frustrating.

Love what the Congress TV crew are doing. As others have said, it gives those of us back home an opportunity to participate in some way and feel involved. Many thanks to all.

    Delia

  • Simone said:

When are you going to upload Episode 3 again…..???????

  • Adrienne Thomas said:

    Hi!

This is FANTASTIC! Stuck here in the snow, I can get a glimpse of and share in the wonderful sunshiny atmosphere of a World Congress, see old friends and wave at them, feel offended by the fact that people STILL get offended in Subud (purrleeeease!) and marvel at the cool response to a bomb scare!
    Hey…the latihan really works
Keep it up and send us poor freezing folk MORE MORE MORE!!!

    Lotsa Love
    Adrienne

(PS Say Hi to Rhyana for me!! I’m her Mom XX)

  • Sahlan Diver said:

Since you are providing such a great service to the membership, anyone who wants to censor your content should be answerable to the membership as a whole. Don’t be bullied into removing content. And if the request to remove the content was official, it’s worth remembering that our officials should be the servants of the membership, not their masters. Are we not going to be told what the passage was that caused offence?

I watched episode 3. Like the other commentators, I am equally bemused as to why the video was removed.

  • Roanna Clark said:

Keep up the great work – one doesn’t feel so left out with timely reports. Please reinstate #3. You have many of us curious! We can take it – honestly. And more pictures of all age groups. Hugs to you and your workers.

  • Delia Whitbread said:

Will this episode EVER come back? It’s absence is now causing more comment than ever its presence would have done. Seems like a storm in a teacup to me…

  • Philip Quackenbush said:

If Subud is nominally a democratic organization, then this definitely shows that it isn’t. In a democracy, one is allowed to know who is responsible for various actions and to confront them to find out what the causes are and to put such actions to a vote, preferably before the action is taken. Obviously, such is not the case here, so until the “certain people” are identified, the organization shows itself to definitely be a hierarchy, possibly even a (quasi?) dictatorship, with those “in charge” hidden from view.

  • Deanna said:

    Hi!

PLEASE put this back on!! Nothing offensive about it at all! People were just having fun and enjoying life!!

What is the problem?? Some of my friends were on this and I’d like to see them again!!

  • Osanna Vaughn said:

Hhhhhmmmm – interesting the assumption of some that it was an ‘official’ request to take episode 3 off. I can assure you it was not. Actually, this is the first I knew of this, a month after Congress is over…
